Plant-based milk are plant-based substitutes for dairy milk. These vegan beverages are mostly made from plant extract for aroma and flavoring. The most consumed plant milks include soy, coconut or almond but new flavors such as oat, rice, peanut, walnut, or banana are emerging.

 

In the United-States, plant-based milk is the leading category in the broader plant-based food. Online grocery sales more than doubled over the past two years as people increasingly turn to platforms such as Amazon, Instacart or smaller Bay Area grocery startups like Good Eggs or Farmstead for online grocery shopping.

 

The fastest-growing plant-based milk is oat which has been increasing at breakneck speed over the past few years. In a booming market, customers continue to welcome innovation and try different flavors.
